Architectural Lighting
David Marini is a registered architect in the state of New York with over 15 years of professional experience in architecture design and construction. He has worked in several high-profile architecture and interior design firms in Manhattan, as project architect, job captain and project manager, contributing to numerous successfully-completed building projects throughout the country. The body of work encompasses a variety of scales and programs, and has been published in national magazines and garnered prestigious awards, including the American Architecture Award from the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design.
Mr. Marini has been collaborating with Gary Gordon LLC for several years, in various capacities, currently serving as project manager, designer and studio coordinator. He brings a substantial amount of experience and technical knowledge within the disciples of design, production, specification, management, and construction administration, with an ability to work effectively within a team of clients, designers, engineers, consultants and contractors in order to successfully execute complex projects from conception to completion.
Having managed complex renovation projects within historic landmark districts, as well as new ground-up construction, Mr. Marini brings considerable hands-on experience to each of the projects at Gary Gordon LLC, where he oversees all aspects of the design, execution and project documentation. He also brings knowledge and awareness of sustainable building practices, with LEED Certification in New Construction from the United States Green Building Council,
David Marini received his master’s degree from the School of Architecture at Rice University, and has since dedicated his career to professional practice, independent research and active involvement in local and national chapters of the American Institute of Architects. He is committed to the practices of architecture and design, as well as to the study and understanding of the built environment.
